We were off to Javadi hills and it is a perfect destination for a trekking trip with my college friends. We were a group of eight unique individual, so I was very sure that this was going to be a fun trip. I have been to many trekking trips with my friends and family, so was very cool about it. However, few of my friends who have never trekked were a bit nervous or as they call it “anxious” about the trip.
Before starting your trekking trip, it is important to have a good meal, as lot of energy/guts is required to trek and wander around the forest. Since, some of us (which includes me) were self-proclaimed trekking expert. We had nothing to worry about as we had our maps, know our checkpoints and destinations. There were few of the spots near Javadi that we wanted to visit Beemanmadavu waterfalls, Vainu Bappu Observatory ,Vaniyambadi.
The trek was fun and not that hard, we got a chance to check out the wildlife of the forest (most birds), also interacted with a few local Malayali tribes while finding our directions. Finally, after reaching our last checkpoint we decided to a while and check out that beautiful sunset which people were talking about, was one of the best sunset I have ever seen.
Surprising, even after a day long trekking nobody looked tired. All of us were actually quite thrilled/glad that we planned this trip together. Everybody love the Javadi hills and wanted me to plan another trip for our next vacations.
