The interiors were so elegantly decorated and the rooms all came equipped with all the basic facilities that I found myself in need of and all this for such an affordable price that didn’t even punch a hole in pocket! After a little help from the travel desk I was able to book a trekking expedition and a tour of all the major tourist attractions in and around the city.
I am a student from Hosur and I just recently found myself with a lot of spare time on my hands after my exams and I had save some money up over the years and so I thought what better way than to go on a little trip. Since I had a tight budget I set my eyes on Bangalore and packed my bags to go! I found a very reasonably priced two star hotel called the Akshaya regency. At first I was a bit apprehensive about this hotel but all my fears melted the moment I stepped into the hotel! After a while I decided to explore the city on my own and what I found was absolutely amazing! There are so many shopping districts set out at key points in the district and there are so many entertainment options in the form of theatres, restaurants, museums, parks and malls that I could barely find time for them all during my short visit! There is so much more to see and so much more to experience in Bangalore and I’ll be sure to come back for more!

After an entire year of intense studying I had finally written my last paper and was free from the shackles of school at last. Since I had saved up some money I decided on taking matters into my own hand and plan a vacation for myself. So by killing two birds with one stone I picked Mahabaleshwar to be my holiday destination, it was close to where I live and it also had just the right climate I needed to beat the heat this summer. My savings where not much but they were just enough to afford a few nights at the Nells Hotel in Mahabaleshwar. This hotel had all the makings of a very luxurious hotel but it came at such an affordable price that I just had to take it! On my first morning at the hotel I woke up to see the sun come out from behind the surrounding Western Ghats and it was such a breath-taking sight! The travel desk at the hotel helped me book a trekking expedition and they even gave me a list of things I might need. I found every item on the list when I went street shopping and once I had bargained, bought and packed my stuff I was ready to go on an adventure never to forget! The whole experience was a new one for me and it was just the right thing that my young heart wanted and at the end of the day when I made it back to the hotel and got ready to go home I promised myself that I will come back again!
Every summer vacation it was the same routine spending time with my family and friends and gearing up for the year ahead! This time I decided to do a little something special and with a little help from my grandfather I was able to pool in enough money for a trip to Jaipur and I could also afford a few nights at a Jaipur hotel like the Apna Niwas Blisszone bed and breakfast, a comfy little hotel that was just right for my holiday. The rooms were so reasonably priced that I feared I may have to compensate elsewhere but I am happy to say that throughout my stay there never arose a situation where I had to do so. The rooms were well equipped with all the basic facilities and they even offered a great view of the city and its pink forts. I decided to get out and explore the city myself and what I found were hundreds of little shops on streets that sold anything and everything from small souvenirs to traditional handlooms. I did not notice how much time had passed while street shopping and found myself heading back to the hotel late with heavy bags in each hand. The next morning I woke up early and went on a trekking expedition which the hotel was nice enough to set up for me. The cool mountain breeze was just what I needed and the adrenaline rush you get when you go on such adventures is absolutely amazing! I found myself planning my next visit to the Jaipur hotels before I even left! his summer I decided to really make every moment of my holidays count! So I set out to find the dream holiday and it didn’t take much long before I settled on Goa. The destination just appealed to my young heart and I settled on it and even convinced a few of my friends to come with me. We all rented out a car and drove to Goa. We booked a room at Adamo the Bellus a three star resort at Goa with reasonably priced rooms that were just right for our tight budget. The rooms were well-maintained with clean sheets and every room came with all the basic necessities that we wanted. Whenever we were free we found ourselves at the Calangute Beach which is only a few minutes’ walk from the hotel and here we would spend hours just talking and having a good time as the ocean breeze would blow on our faces. We even booked a trekking expedition from the hotel and went street shopping at the famous night bazaar in Goa. But the most cherished memories were made at night when we had a taste of the true Goan night life! There are so many bars and clubs in Goa where the party just never ends! We club hopped to our heart’s content and when we were done we partied some more! There are even some exclusive parties that take place on the beach. To sit around a bon fire with friends sharing stories and jokes were some of the highlights of my holiday in Goa!
As a student I had spent all my life studying and working hard to get my life set and this is exactly what I did but once I got into a good college I found some time on my hands and I thought what better way to employ this time than to take a break and explore new places! So I looked into all the places I could go this summer and finally settled on the beautiful city of Ahmedabad. I had very limited funds so I had to be a little less extravagant and so it proved to be quite a challenge to pick a hotel that was reasonably priced. At long last I decided on the Hotel Bridge in Ahmedabad. The rooms come at a price of less than a thousand rupees per night but you need not worry about the quality! Everything was perfect right from the room servicing to the well decorated rooms. Once I was settled into my room I set out to visit the shaking minarets which Ahmedabad is most famous for. This name is just an endearment to the Sidi Bashir Mosque an impending structure that stands tall at the heart of the city. Standing on the caved balconies between the two minarets made me feel so special! Once I was done sight-seeing I went street shopping and I found so many souvenirs for everyone back home that my hands were loaded with bags when I reached the hotel! After this I could only pack and make my way home but a little part of me decided to stay back in Ahmedabad! As a student having just written my boards I decided to take a long break on my own and so I sought out an adventure that I would remember for the rest of my life! My parents agreed to send me to Mumbai and here I discovered a side to Mumbai that I had never known existed! I had always assumed Mumbai was what every Bollywood movie portrayed it to be- crowded, full of life and at the same time very dangerous! But what I found was entirely different! The city of Mumbai also has a sense of calm hidden underneath the entire hustle bustle. I only had to visit the Haji Ali Mumbai to find it! This beautiful Dargah built in memory of the Haji Ali is located off the coast of southern Mumbai on a tiny islet. The aura of tranquillity in there is so hard to miss and I just sat there listening to some soft music and completely lost track of time! Once I woke up from the trance I made my way back to the Abbott hotel where I intended to stay for the rest of my time there. The hotel was like a home away from home and they even helped arrange a tour of the city and also trekking along the Ganges and the Western Ghats. It was an adventure that had all the makings of an unforgettable experience! When the time came for me to leave Mumbai I couldn’t help but feel a little sad, I had grown so accustomed to the city that going back was not an option! Being the kind of person who spends most of her money on food, I am the first person people look to for advice on restaurants and street food. I am considered to be a good food critic who gives precise and truthful reviews. But I had never found the opportunity to give the much talked about Delhi street food a try, until this summer. Excited about my mini food tasting vacation, I start research on all the famous must-try food stalls scattered around the radiant city of Delhi. Delhi Street food: To die for! I arrived at my comfortable and convenient hotel located in the heart of the city, Justa - The Residence Panchsheel Park hotel. Satisfied with the hotel in general, I quickly set about planning my day on the lookout for street food. I started with going to Shree Balaji Chaat Bhandar for its very famous papri chaat, which made me want to order the same again! I stopped myself only to save some space in my stomach for the other street delicacies. I then went to Chandni Chowk to find the many other wonders that keeps Delhi ticking. The area had much to offer me, with the Aloo Kulla, which was simply heaven and the fruit chaat which was beyond refreshing! As the last dish before I retreat to the hotel, I enjoyed the enticing Gobi muttar samosas. I wondered how I had left Delhi unexplored for so long. Clearly this mini vacation of mine served the purpose of pampering my taste buds! It was our final year as students and we planned to enjoy it by taking a trip to Chennai, where the Marina Beach and the various other sightseeing places were sure to enthrall us. Since this was a small get together with only a few of us we chose one of the best budget hotels in Chennai for our staying accommodations. We had a choice of Everest Hotel Chennai, Hotel Abu Palace, Hotel Mount Heera of which we chose the Everest Hotel Chennai. Not only was it near the bus stand and the railway station but also was situated in the centre of the city. Budget Hotels in Chennai: An Affordable Luxury! As soon as we checked into the hotel we went to the travel counter in this hotel where we were able to get an idea of the places to visit. In fact charting an itinerary aided us in being able to fully utilize our holidays. Since we were put in 2 Executive rooms having amenities such as telephone, cushioned armchair and color TV, direct dialing facility, Wi-Fi, etc we actually had a great staying experience. We spend the first two days visiting Guindy race course, Kodambakkam, Thousand Lights, Fort St.George etc. The next day was wholly spend at the Marina Beach where we felt all our tensions of the coming exams just float away and gave us the feeling of being young more. In the evenings we went to our rooms where we were well taken care of. With souvenirs like objects made from silver and wood from street shopping and a satisfied smile we left for our homes! And we came to the conclusion that even budget hotels in Chennai are really groovy! It was our wedding anniversary and our children bought us a package tour to Lavasa. We also had our bookings done in Fortune Select Dasve, which is believed to be one of the finest among the plentiful of hotels in Lavasa. At first we were not so sure for this was the first time we were hearing the name of the place itself, but my God! The surprise that greeted us as we reached dispelled all our doubts. This picturesque valley was set in such serene and lovely atmosphere that it was just perfect. Lavasa Hotels: A Serene World of Lavish Luxuries! As soon as we reached the hotel we were led to our rooms where after unpacking we spend some time relaxing. Only then did we look around and learned that we had the lake facing room and it sure was quite breathtaking! It also had amenities like hair dryer telephone, iron, internet access and newspaper. My husband didn’t even want to go out, for the room gave us a cocooned feel of comfort and relaxation. But I didn’t come all this way to spend time in the hotels in Lavasa, though it was really tempting what with the swimming pool, gym, dining facilities, café etc. I decided it was time to feel young again and go enjoy some outdoor sports. We went for a boat ride in the lake and then hubby tried his hands in jet skiing. We also went for golfing in the Golf club where he tried to teach me the finer points of golfing. Oh! But in the end we only had time to do some last minute street shopping then it was time to say goodbye but the memories to those beautiful days still brings a smile to my lips! My husband is such a workaholic that it was a real surprise when he came home one day and told me to pack for a few days trip to New-Delhi. Later I learned from him that his company has booked in The Ashok New Delhi for a two day meeting. It seems this hotel was one of the best business Delhi hotels and provided some great business facilities like conference suite, audio-visual facilities, LCD/projector, board room and conference equipments. Since this place was also set near some of the many commercial and tourist destination he thought this could be a great place to mix business with pleasure and I was all for it! Hotels in Delhi : An Unbelievable Luxury! Last time I went to Delhi was when I was a young student and we were under the teachers control but here with my hubby it became a true adventure! We visited some beautiful wonders that truly enthralled us especially the Taj Mahal. The Western Ghats across the River Ganges also was a majestic sight that no words can explain. After traipsing around the city we were more than ready for a day in the Amatrra, the life style spa in The Ashok hotel. They had an open air swimming pool, gym, therapy rooms, yoga, salon, sauna and what not. This hotel truly became our favorite and there is no doubt on the fact that it is one of the best Delhi hotels! Before leaving we also went for a light shopping and believe me it was truly a great experience! The rare antiques, silks, jewelries, all made me faint with joy. But the departure was also so at hand and with the most wonderful memories captured in our minds we left for our home! |
