The fort got its name from the Goddess Bhadrakali whose temple is located within the premises of the fort. This fort is used by the Chief Minister of Gujarat to hoist the national flag on the Independence Day. There are many important monuments and other government offices which are located near the fort. An important iconic structure of the city known as Teen Darwaza is located near the Bhadra Fort. The fort is decorated with beautiful paintings and other forms of art which shows the love Mughal rulers had for art and artists.
This fort is an ideal location to click some beautiful pictures and capture the rustic charm of a centuries old structure. When I visited the fort, the sun was about to set in background which provided a very good scenery to capture in the lenses. It is a good beautiful temple which should be visited by one and all in the city. The time inside the fort was well spent by me admiring the architecture and paintings inside the fort. There is so much to learn about history from these forts and palaces of the Mughals.
Once I was done with the visit to the Bhadra Fort of Ahmedabad I went to try some of the local cuisines of Gujarat from a famous local restaurant. The next place in my itinerary to visit was Ahmedabad’s Kankarialake.
