The lake is an artificial water body which was built in the 15th century by the Sultan Qutubud din. The lake was built so that Mughals could spend some time alone with their consorts. There are as many as 34 sides to the lake and also a tiny island located in the middle which makes it even more appealing.
For the food lovers there are ample of stalls to try the street food of Gujarat. I tried some of the amazing Gujarati snacks there. For photography bugs the park is an ideal spot to click pictures of different varieties of birds. A zoo and nature park is near to the lake. The administration of the lake needs to take care of the cleanliness of the water as to me it looked a little dirty. Overall it is a very fine spot to hang out in the evening with friends or family.
