The church is said to have been renovated after the British reign with a total cost of 25 lakhs. I must say that the effort of the Government of Bangalore is worth an applaud as the visit to Holy Trinity Church made my day.
What should I say about the ultimate beauty of Bangalore? The city is well known for its urban life style and everyone is aware of the technical advancements it is bringing for the country. But being a hub of technology, the city is also spotted with some of the traditional and historic architectures which make it a major spot for tourist visit. I had been to Bangalore just to visit the Holy Trinity Church. Being a fun loving person, who loves theatres, discotheques and pubs, the idea of visiting a church was indifferent of me. I am more a night kind of person. But the visit to this holy church was kind of thing which I did for a change. I had a heard a lot about this church which is located amongst the rush M.G. Road in Bangalore. The M.G. Road witnesses some of the urban lifestyles of the city. In the midst of it, there is this holy church located at Trinity Circle. Its history dragged me to 150 years back, when the church was first built during the British regiment in the year 1851. As I went near the holy castle, I saw the beautiful walls adorned with tablets made of stone. There were also statues of military officials who died during the battle across South East Asia. I went ahead to make some further investigations about the embellishments and design and found that it was built by Rev W.W Lutyens from England. Most of the furnishings and designs were made in London by skilled artisans. The great bell of the church gave the typical feeling of an old Basilica which depicts the age old history of a place. There are tinted glass windows around the walls of the church that portrayed Baptism of Jesus. There were wood carvings of three pairs of angels’ right above the roof which symbolizes the angels safeguarding Lord Jesus.
