With more anticipations and desires, I reached the Gulbarga town for a round visit to its local place, Jevargi Gulbarga, situated on the banks of Bhima River at a distance of 40 kms from the main town. Ready with my back pack as usual, I headed towards the place riding on a special cart which added stars to my excitement.
Highly amused by its simplicity and the tribal looks, I was immersed with the emancipated thoughts of Indian diversity in culture and tradition. The famous Mahalaxmi Temple in Jevargi Gulbarga was the most fascinating feature of the town. It houses many mysteries behind it, raising its popularity among the tourists and the locales with enormous religious beliefs and spiritual faiths. The local language spoken in the town includes Urdu along with the basic Kannada. I also triumphed to grasp few Urdu words as the token memory of the place. This birth place of Maha Sharana Shanmukha Shivayogi is surely an appealing place with immense calmness and peace. With so much of blessings from the sacred areas I finally marched towards my place of accommodation, Hotel Heritage Inn Gulbarga, to seek some rest and harmony.
