It was my third day in Goa and we had just returned to our hotel room after spending three long hours at the beach. My friends and I got refreshed and we were watching the show ‘Master Chef Australia’ on the television. The variety of tantalizing foods prepared by the participants left us mouth watering and I found a sudden urge to browse for some good restaurants nearby. That’s when my eyes found the name Martin’s Corner and to my surprise it was located very close to our hotel. And therefore, my friends and I decided to visit that place for dinner as we were dying for some flavoursome food. It was an open air kind of restaurant and the atmosphere oozed with the Goan spirit and the music is like a cherry on the cake. We then realized that the restaurant is pretty famous and it is the most favourite option for all the sea food lovers. We had a local tell us that the place is visited by Sachin Tendulkar very often and they have named a dish after his name. We ordered our dishes and waited with so much enthusiasm while the music kept entertaining us. When our foods arrived we tried them and found them to be absolutely scrumptious. I loved the Squid Masala which though was a little on the spicier side, was completely delicious. We tried everything from the papad stuffed with prawns to shark ambotik which was all very delectable along with masala fried calamari and the butter garlic king fish. The cocktails and the desserts served were also very fine and we totally loved the restaurant. The place is also a great choice for the vegetarians as one of our friends was a vegetarian and he liked the food too. If you’re in Goa Martin’s Corner is a great place to visit especially for dinner and you would love everything about the restaurant from the music played to the ambience and the yummy food which are sure to insist you to visit more often!
