My visit to Bangalore is never ending as it gives me the ultimate fun-filled experience of adventure sports. Last month during the midst of winters, I again planned to pack my bags and visit Bangalore. But this time my purpose of visit was only adventure sports. I had heard a lot about the famous Nandi Hills at Bangalore. So being a student and within a tight budget, I somehow managed a trip to the Nandi Hills for trekking. I found a good mass of young people like me with whom I am in touch even now. The bus tour from my city to the Nandi Hills was one of my best experiences in life. The bus went through lush green forest and placid villages. As soon as I arrived there, I planned to do mountain trekking as I had my trekking costume with me. There was a guide who helped us all through the way. The weather was chilly as it was during the winters and at such a high altitude, the temperature is much lower. The height of the hill range is 1485 feet above the sea level and we started for the journey in the dawn. It was an enthralling experience of trekking in cold weather as the chilly wind tried to overpower our spirit to complete the journey. But I managed to complete my journey and reached the top of the hill. Soon it was the lunch time and we were taken for lunch to a nearby restaurant. The restaurant was small yet elegant. I tasted some of the best authentic food of Karnataka. After lunch, we went to the Nandi temple up above the hill top. The entire atmosphere was filled with divinity as the evening prayers and bells of the temple kept me dragging towards it. After a tiring day, we started to return back for our respective homes. I bought wines from Devanahalli as the place is famous for best quality wines made from fine grapes. Grape vines are found in large number and the state produces large quantity of grape-generated products. The entire journey will remain as one of my best memories of life.
