The attempt towards Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary Kolhapur happened to me when I was surfing online for the best attraction in and around Kolhapur. It is deeply rooted with magnanimous flora and fauna and evergreen ranges of Sahyadri, which remained an important feature of my travel itinerary. The time came when I could rendezvous it meticulously with complexity. The bio-diverse collection of rare species of birds and animals are intensive and can be observed with great pleasure. My love towards wildlife grew with my age without any basic reason. Being an ancillary of Maharashtra, Kolhapur is served by same respect as that of Mumbai and other cities and districts. The rich art and culture distinguish the place from others. The famous form of dance style, ‘Lavani’ originated from this city as per my knowledge and I loved to see them live. Now this is my rare feature that when I am at certain place, I hold some pictures of the place that had been left behind. I would like to share some of the recalling moments amidst these flocking animals. I was fortunate enough to reach zoo on time to treasure the ultimate. Animals like Sambar, Leopard, Wild Boar, Mouse Deer, Barking Deer, wild dogs, and rare bird species like vultures, eagles, Sand pipers, Doves, Kingfishers, Woodpeckers, bee-eater, Wagtails and many more are the pride of the sanctuary that provide some of their arresting features to the visitors of zoo. Some of them remained opened within the fenced area to be protected and preserved well. The wild oxen are the most gigantic of them all. Some of the rare incidents that I got to observe in the zoo were simply heart melting and I was literary touched by them. It’s better to visit early in the morning as you can observe them doing few activities that are breath taking. The Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary Kolhapur gave me a gift to be treasured along for long. With a heavy heart and loads of regret, I grabbed some chocolates to content my frequent cravings. I moved ahead with the dreams of Kambar Lake, which describe the city’s tranquillity in its own language of visiting birds that captivate the travellers.
