As soon as I arrived at Tirupati, I started making my schedule for different days. I had a total of seven days in my hand and I wanted to pack the trip with fun-filled experience every day. For a travel junkie like me, it was essential to stuff each and every day with one destination or another. So on the first day, I decided to go for Tirumala Venkateswara temple which is known for its Vedic beliefs. The temple is located in Tirumala near the Chittoor district of the Andhra Pradesh state. The Tirumala Hills have a height of 853 kilometers above sea level and the ancient grand temple of Venkateswara is located on the seventh peak, which is the Venkatachala Hill. Lying on the southern banks of Swami Pushkarini, the temple has an ambience of its own. The entire atmosphere is filled with the charming bell sounds in the temple and creates a tranquilized environment for every visitor. In the Indian religion, the temple of Shri Venkateswara is considered to be of pure sanctity and people adore the God for His generousness. In few hymns, Puranas and Shastras of the Indian Hindu mythology, it is clearly mentioned that whoever wants to get assimilated with the Supreme Power after death in Kali Yuga must worship Shri Venkateswara. One of the striking features of the temple is that after Shri Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, it is the richest one. The entire temple has a property worth Rs 500 billion in its fund and one of the most visited places for worship by the Hindus. A hefty number of 50,000 to 100,000 pilgrims come to the temple daily to offer their prayers to the deity. One few special occasions like Brahmotsavam, the number of devotees rises to 500,000 in a single day. For such a huge crowd, police forces and security is employed every day. The sanctum sanctorum is located along the Seven Hills and the main temple of Venkateswara is located in the complex of Tirumala. The origins of the temple come from Vaishnavism which tell about the principle of equality among every individual and prohibits any violence on animals. After a fulfilling day, I retired back.
