Church Of Our Lady Of Immaculate Conception Goa : The Sun, Sand And A Wave Of Spirituality!11/4/2013 Our family was dining one night and we hit upon the idea of a holiday on a beach. We joked and laughed at what each one of us would like to do and how we would spend our money. The males were interested in wine and food, while we females had shopping on our list. I am a student, 23 years old and spiritual to an extent. Young and energetic, I have an inclination to adventure trips, trekking and camping. Our recent vacation was to Uttarakhand for a holy dip in the Ganges. This trip is to Goa... my father said. Yippee! Miles to go before I sleep... I was dreaming of a fun filled vacation. We decided to drive through the Western Ghats and enjoy the natural beauty of the land. Churches are seen at short distances and the gentle breeze soothes my face. Morning, midnight or noon, there is no end of fun and frolic in Goa. One can just hangout at the beach any time of the day and enjoy the oceanic panorama. Nightlife in Goa is exciting with an array of discos and clubs too choose from. A Theatre Festival is organized for three days where dance and theatre performers come under one roof. Most eateries serve exquisite seafood and other Goan delicacies. Although on a tight budget, we had much fun doing window-shopping and surfing the waters with the oceanic panorama. Grabbing a bite, a drink and hitting the beach! The Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is the first church to be built in Goa. The interiors are simple; the altar is dedicated to Mary Immaculate. There are two altars on either side, the left one is dedicated to Jesus crucified and the right one is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary. Standing on the gallery of this church we can view entire Panjim. A huge bell hangs in the central belfry. The feast of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church is celebrated on 8th December every year. The church is beautifully decorated with lights and the sound of fireworks. In fact the location of the church is so popular that many film shootings have taken place. Set on a high hill, this church is indeed the crown of Panjim city.

With the onset of every New Year I had the habit of making new holiday plans to destinations where I along with my friends can have a great time and then get back to the hectic college routine. I had been planning to visit Goa during the winter for a long time. One fine day I realized that I am into my early twenties and decided that this would be the right time. I set apart my hesitation and negotiated with my friends and arranged a vacation finally to the paradise location goa. I was under a constant fear of the high prices which may put a barrier into my enjoyment for I didn’t want to compromise with the fun nor did I want the rates to soar high. The budget of the trip was right under my nose and I had nothing to worry about and no fear all thanks to the Majorda Beach Resort Goa. The resort had its own private beach and we checked into beach facing rooms. The experience can be self explanatory for this was like a dream come true! Despite being a lady of early twenties there was no sense of fear here even at odd times of the day. There was always a security service offered by hotels around its perimeter ensuring caution and safety. My senses were overwhelmed by the response I received during my stay. The hotel offered several services like spa and gymnasium. This is further complemented by swimming pools and my personal favorite was the heated pools. There was also an It would be highly unfair on my part if I forget to mention the sea-food riot of the cuisine here. The taste still keeps me thinking about the magnificent buffet and amazing bar of Majorda Beach Resort Goa. The disco was amazing in this resort with filtered crowd and happening music which kept the journey a rocking experience! ption of sight-seeing arranged by the hotel which we availed and I must say this was splendid for the service covered all the important places without any rush or hurry.
