Travelling is almost everyone’s favourite thing to do. Taking a break from our busy city lives and visiting the places that would refresh our minds and souls is definitely something all of us would long for. I personally love visiting places like national parks and sanctuaries as the trees, the animals and the beautiful environment make my heart filled with an indescribable emotion. Almost everyone delights to see the rushing streams and numerous birds and animals, for these are part of the ornaments of nature. Therefore, the first thing that came to my mind when we reached Goa was the wildlife sanctuary my friend had visited two months ago and was describing for weeks about it. When I told my parents about my idea they agreed to take me there the very next day. We reached the sanctuary the next morning and I absolutely loved the atmosphere and we found assorted animals along the walkway path. We enjoyed watching the animals and a few people were trying to touch them through the chicken wire and I found that completely dangerous. At the picnic area there is a small restaurant, rest rooms, tea stall, car park and sitting areas and on holidays, the park is a great source of delight to the locals especially the children and the adults get entertained watching their children play and also enjoy the pleasant breeze. I took out my camera and clicked several pictures which I would be showing my friends when I return to my hometown. Later that night when we reached our hotel room, my mind was still lingering in the sanctuary and I wished I could visit it more often. That’s precisely when I realised that nature could give me such happiness and I would say that humans have an instinctive need for nature since we evolved under its influence and we should certainly find time to visit such places and rejoice in the nature rather than planning huge trips which might not be very pocket-friendly.
