Since this was a small get together with only a few of us we chose one of the best budget hotels in Chennai for our staying accommodations. We had a choice of Everest Hotel Chennai, Hotel Abu Palace, Hotel Mount Heera of which we chose the Everest Hotel Chennai. Not only was it near the bus stand and the railway station but also was situated in the centre of the city. Budget Hotels in Chennai: An Affordable Luxury! As soon as we checked into the hotel we went to the travel counter in this hotel where we were able to get an idea of the places to visit. In fact charting an itinerary aided us in being able to fully utilize our holidays. Since we were put in 2 Executive rooms having amenities such as telephone, cushioned armchair and color TV, direct dialing facility, Wi-Fi, etc we actually had a great staying experience. We spend the first two days visiting Guindy race course, Kodambakkam, Thousand Lights, Fort St.George etc. The next day was wholly spend at the Marina Beach where we felt all our tensions of the coming exams just float away and gave us the feeling of being young more. In the evenings we went to our rooms where we were well taken care of. With souvenirs like objects made from silver and wood from street shopping and a satisfied smile we left for our homes! And we came to the conclusion that even budget hotels in Chennai are really groovy!
