All in all, my trip to Ulsoor Lake was a fun-filled experience. And I would love to visit this place once again in future.
I started for Bangalore to pay a visit to the Ulsoor Lake. Without any planning I just packed my bags on a lazy Sunday morning. The artificially built lake that was created by Kempe Gowda during the eighteenth century is now visited by large number of onlookers every day. I prefer doing a journey just when nothing is planned. My sole intention behind my trip to Bangalore was Ulsoor Lake this time. The lake remains open throughout the day between 5 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. There is a short break in the midday for lunch. Amidst the rush M.G. Road, the city witnesses this placid lake which is within the city but seems far away from it. I went on for boating within the lake as large number of people opted for the same. One can also go for group travel where there remains a boater for you to ride you safely. But I decided to go on all by myself as the adventure worm inside me didn’t allow me to depend on someone for boating. There is a boat club present in the lake where I also hired a cruiser where other visitors were also there. The cruiser drove us to few of the other islands. Ulsoor Lake is very famous for the dotted islands it has. After coming back from the Cruise ride, I decided to swim. There is a recreational complex just near the lake where one could swim. I stayed at the Ulsoor Lake till the closing time. I observed the setting of sun at the west end. It is like an opportunity to watch the setting sun at Ulsoor Lake. The setting of sun creates a perfect environment for all the viewers, irrespective of being a nature lover or not. I visited on a day which was lucky for me. I got the chance to see the shooting of a local Kannada movie there. I often wondered about how the shooting of a movie is done. This is the place where numbers of films are shot almost every month.
All in all, my trip to Ulsoor Lake was a fun-filled experience. And I would love to visit this place once again in future.
